Research-Based Teacher Education Reform: Making Teacher Education Work, 13th-15th May 2011
The Local Organising Committee invites you to participate in the 5th Annual Conference of the Teacher Education Policy in Europe (TEPE) Network hosted by the Department of Education at the University of Vienna. The conference will focus on the role that research on teacher education plays in current reforms in Europe, and will address the question of how this involvement might be improved and deepened.
The conference will be opened by the Austrian Minister for Science and Research, Beatrix Karl and key note speakers will be:
* Professor Ian Menter, University of Glasgow
* Professor Michael Schratz, University of Innsbruck
* Professor Jens Rasmussen, Danish Pedagogical University

There were a number of changes made at the Annual General Meeting of the TEPE Network Board in Tallinn on the 1st October 2010.
Brian Hudson was elected as Chair and Judith Harford was elected as Network Co-ordinator.
In addition Sylvia Chong from the National Institute of Education, Singapore was elected to the Board, thus marking a significant moment in the wider international development of the TEPE network.
